divalea: (mistakes our genitals)
Pointed out to me by [livejournal.com profile] arcana_j, and formulated by [livejournal.com profile] budgie_uk

I think there could safely be additions for dinner madness (how many people, who invited whom after being asked not to, how long it actually took to eat), booth mates (perfect, tried to take one half of your table, played music they wouldn't turn down, pornographers, total asshats), but, really, this is pretty all-purpose.

Nice work, Budgie.

It's a good thing I only do CAPE. I had forgotten about the nemesis of attending pros everywhere: the post-con bleahhh.
Of course, it's far worse if the con doesn't go well. I don't even want to remember what it was like the years I did three or four shows (or imagine what it's like for con gypsies who go to two-three-four shows a month).
Thankfully, CAPE is so much fun, so warm, so full of good people, I always come home grinning like an idjit. On the ride home, besides the happy idjit feeling, there was also Greek food (recommended by a reader) and the second half of "A Dirty Job."

But the run-up to CAPE! was so intense, so busy, that now that it's over I am purposeless. I forgot to make plans for After. Ooops.
I am kind of stumbling around, poking at my brain for something to excite myself creatively. Sure, there's plenty to be done around the house, and insurance stuff, but I need a project or two to put a spring in my step.

I expect it will sort itself, maybe after prosaic things like getting a coffee and some damn milk and fresh produce.
divalea: (cathedral child)
Woot! I have extracted the image files of CATHEDRAL CHILD from the PDF Scott O. Brown sent me.

What does THAT mean? It means I'm putting Cathedral Child up for reading this week, and you get to read the comic in its entirety. FOR FREE. YEAH.
Now, if you want notes and all, you'll need to buy a dead tree copy, and I (currently) have some smoke-damaged fire survivors, and will soonish have stock.

Cathedral Child (and Clockwork Angels) will be published online under a Creative Commons license:

Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 United States License.

When it goes live, I hope you will all hype it like crazy. And, if you like it, and buying a copy is impossible or prohibitive, that you will make a PayPal donation.
