divalea: (argh)
Okay, so the pen pressure in my tablet works fine with Alias Sketchbook Pro. I mean, as in, I get thick and thin lines, like I should.

But not at all in PShop CS2. Yes, set Brushes controls correctly. I get the dreaded triangle bang icon and am told somethng like I need an input device that supports the feature.
I HAVE that! My tablet notebook is pretty much a Wacom screen that folds up.

I have tried disabling the hold down right-click, disabling HID, etc. No luck. In fact, I managed to make Alias pressure NOT work until I restored.
I had XP previously, my CS is legit, and it DID work under XP just dandy. I had not reinstalled PS CS2 until a couple days ago, and only discovered the problem tonight.

Any ideas? Remember, this is a tablet PC, not a separate Wacom tablet.

Any help is much appreciated, as long as it's not "turn on pen pressure under brushes." Tried that. No work.
divalea: (Lea's flip off)
I have pretty depressed, like sleeping a lot depressed for the past four-five days or so. I couldn't figure out why. The kitchen is done except for converting a base cabinet to a pullout. The dining room is kind of bijou but there's nothing to help that until the dining room table is delivered.
The damn dogs are housetraining with painful slowness. They sure got the hang of crates quick, so I have hope.
I have gotten into my studio now that the kitchen isn't in it, and have the desks arranged how I like, and it's a matter off putting the things back on them.
King went to the rental today and finished cleaning the master bedroom, Girl's bedroom, the hall bath. We've got about 12 more hours of work there, and it's All Gone.
And yet, the malaise lingered. The can't wait to go to sleep, don't want to wake up bleahs.

So I'm pokinf at it, asking myself what would make it better, what's been bringing me down, and I realized it's that NO PROGRAM I USE WORKS PROPERLY IF AT ALL UNDER FUCKING WINDOWS FUCKING VISTA.

*hhuh* *huhff* *hahhhh*

NO pressure in PShop, Manga Studio can't install, no screen rotation, no touchpad niceness I was accustomed to.
I'm moving things onto an outboard as I type, and then wipey-wipey goes FUCKING VISTA.
I'm blue, too, because the Vista upgrade was my birthday present. I picked it because a)my laptop is supposed to be able to run it and b)it promised to make my laptop ever so much more so--who isn't for that?
$180. later I got an OS I have to wipe, an upgrade I can't return, we're out the $180. King spent on me that I could've used for something that WORKED (shit, a trip to ULTA or a day spa or some clothes!), and no birthday present.

I'll feel better once my drawing tools are restored, but the wasted $180. really, really bugs me. That's a lot of dosh for us.

FUCKING VISTA.
