Digital All the Way
Apr. 7th, 2007 03:36 amI finally beat the Big Fucking Ikea Pantry into submission. It was time-consuming, and straightening the door was maddening, but it's up.
I still can't get over how much this house doesn't suck. Or how much hair the cats have deposited in it as their way of saying, "HI I R HOME BITCHES."
I even worked on Rumble Girls: RLO. It'll be serialized online for free before NBM publishes it as a graphic novel. I mentioned that before, right?
I'm counting on being right about online freebies helping drive dead tree sales.
I'm toying with either digital inking or tight pencils. I really like how tight pencilling keeps my line energetic, but the inevitable "sketchy" comments gets up my ass.
Anyone know anything about making a pencil-like brush in Illustrator? A brush with the slickness taken out and some character put in?
I have a huge crush on Ben Caldwell's work. (http://www.daredetectives.com) That's what I'm shooting for.
