ATF: The Mad Shitter
Feb. 11th, 2007 08:27 pmSomeone's been shitting in my yard, and there he is!
The guy who dropped off the kids in a bucket and left them in the backyard is one of three dudes:
David, the guy who charged the builder for $400. more than the agreed-on $600. for two tub surrounds. Tub surrounds I designed and bought the special tiles for. Who then tried to soak US for an additional $300. on top of that. Who tried to get himself extra work doing our floors.
Juan, the guy who was touching up the walls around the trim with a 3" wide brush. He'd touch up the walls, and slop gray paint onto the trim. Slop white paint over the gray on the trim, and get white on the walls. Slop gray over the white on the walls and get gray on the trim. Probably the guy leaving Bud Light bottle caps in the front yard.
The Guy With No Name, who just cleans up after David.
Juan and David did not mask the hinges like they were supposed to, and every hinge is white. Every hinge has to be cleaned. Someone will clean every hinge, but it will not be Juan or David or The Man With No Name.
Juan is doing no more painting. David gets to grout, and get the fuck out. Man With No Name, we don't know WHAT he does. He can leave, too.
Raphael came yesterday in the afternoon after he was supposed to come Friday, and hung two ceiling fans, and five fixtures before declaring he was done for the day and would return today. He did not return today.
Raphael's ten-year-old son was the kid driving the truck during demolition. The kid who ran over one of our small trees. I have pictures.
This whole project has been such a Man Show. Maybe the last two years were leading up to this: me not being willing to accept the excuse, "Well, we/I are guys/a guy, what do you expect?"
I expect you to be honest. I expect you not to shit in my yard when a Taco Bell is a minute's drive away. I expect to not steal my tools. I expect you to be MEN.
I like the builder, he's a nice guy, but he hires some serious fucknuckles. And when he gives us his final bill, I sure hope he takes into account all of the above, because I certainly will.
