ATF: AT IKEA, DO NOT SEND HELP
Dec. 6th, 2006 01:27 pmYou know what I would totally love? A way to blog on the go, in cartoons. I reckon my Steve'n'Penny(tm) Mobile tablet takes care of the cartoon part, and then upload at home? I want a way to get right at the time the pictures in my head, and share them immediately.
I think this a lot, and thought it again at Ikea, because I imagined myself, Svetalana-comicker-style, being prised from the Ikea displays. Because I had about two tons of fun there and didn't want to leave. It is, once the crowds aren't there, a fantastic place. The people know their stuff. The stuff they sell is nice, and not a damn arm and leg. The displays are cool, and the price they show isn't for the dustbunny in the corner, it's for what you see.
(I was especially struck by the way a green cord for a plug-in lamp was disguised as a stem by painting flowers on the wall.)
And they sell coffee that isn't shite, and they have REAL half-and-half to put in it, not that vile viscous stuff called "creamer."
Seriously, shitload of fun, especially if you MUST buy cabinets and Home Depot prices make you cry.
