Alias sketchbook Pro, Toshiba tablet PC. And dadgum if the handwriting interface on this tablet isn't amazing.

This Saturday, to will be participating in 24 Hour Comics Day at Austin Books in Austin, Texas. Brad Bankston is a good friend*, and I am likewise fond of the entire ABC staff, and I'm glad to be at ABC for my second 24HCD.

I will be attempting to make a 24-hour comic entirely digitally, which will be a first for me. I hope if you're in Austin, you'll come by and say hi, especially Harris, Patrick and Melly, who do not seem to be on the ABC list.

* And so is Richard Neal and everyone at Zeus! You're ALL pretty!

...they take so DAMN LONG to unload!

King's longboxes were the furthest from the fire and smoke, and his obsessive bagging and boarding saved his collection. King has had a really rough week, and was in a tizz this afternoon over house-related stuff, so I decided to unload the PODS to surprise him. (And so I can go to 24HCD tomorrow with a blissfully clear conscience.)
Dadgummit, paper is heavy when you put it with more paper. I looked like I had a sunburn, I was so red in the face when I was done. But King was really pleased, so it was worth it.

And now, nyeh heh heh, the empty PODS will uglify the 'hood until Monday, which was the earliest pick-up available. It'll just sit there until Columbus Didn't Actually Discover America Day, in the driveway, being cube-like and white. Kind of like our neighbors. Hyuk!

Ooooooh, 24HCD tomorrow! Austin Books! Austin, Texas!

TIme fpr bed, as I will be out a evilearly:30 to participate in 24HCD at Austin Books!

I was going to spend the evening assembling a work table, but then a box from [livejournal.com profile] kyburg happened. Ramen, Japanese sweets, bowls, chopsticks, chirimen purses, clips binders (Girl and I played jan-ken-pon for the pink one), TWO kimonos, a haori coat, two obis, ado0rable stickers, and dress shoes for everyone!
I divvied some stuff to Girl's visiting friend, who was gobsmacked at all the goodies. (And is a Japanophile and anime fan.)

Wow. Donna, you are amazing and generous!
