SUMMER: First Tuesday
Jun. 6th, 2006 04:54 pmDammit it's lathered-in-sweat almost all the time hot here. The hot that makes you want to hug anyone in the air conditioning business and thank them and give them a cookie.
Girl has been making a monkey, ala' Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce GO! from felt. It really rocks my face. She adapted Baby London Star's Pocket Moogle pattern. She added wires to the tail, arms and legs for poseability.
Girl describes the work as "satisfying." I love that she can gain a direct understanding of what creating feels like.
Boy had his first dentist appointment in a couple years. The last one was horrendous, poor baby. In the intervening time, things got kind of grim.
Required, because of unpredictablity of sedation for autistic people, is general anesthesia in a hospital. Oy vey. I feel calm, weirdly, about finding a way to pay for it (the hospital part of the required work is a breathtaking $1,000. which is not as bad as I expected), but stabbingly anxious about Boy being under general anesthesia.
Hopefully, a charity that pays for dental work for persons who are disabled will come through. Even if we had CHIP (Children's Health Insurance Plan), it would only cover $120.
