They NEED volunteers NOW!
Don't worry about calling, just go! Just get in the car and go.
Do NOT take young children with you.
Building 1171 is where they are housing everyone.
Go to Room 200, they will send you to a volunteer room for a quick briefing, then you'll get an assigment..

These people need so much. Material items, spiritual and emotional support. They need to talk, to share. I just want to encourage and challenge everyone GO!

I know many of you are wondering what they need the most. The following is what we observed.:

clothes for large women - The larger women were having to wear trash bags. There were no clothes for them.

blankets and pillows - Over and over we were asked for them. There just were not enough to go around.

shoes - most of the people had NO shoes

socks/underwear

Baby Things - formula, baby cribs, play pens, baby food, bottles , diapers

Hygene - toothpaste, toothbrushes, hair brushes, rubber bands, combs, deoderant,
ladies products!!

There is a chapel. It would be great to have more Bibles. We were asked several times for Bibles.

Just ask yourself the obvious. What would I need if I had just lost everything!
