NLEx: Pen Thief

He has his totems, and I have mine.

Yes, we're working on the whole "What's mine is mine and what's yours is mine" thing.
As soon as I came back with my pens, I drew this.

This reminded me of a conversation I had with my mom about how we used to routinely steal my mom's illustration and layout supplies out of her studio. She reminded me just how terrifying it was to have a wild 2 year old dashing around with a needle-sharp technical pen and how awful it was trying to clean up the India ink fingerpainting. If there was an art deadline, we could be guaranteed to do this.

My sister knew how to pick locks. Smart kids are all dangerous.

I have learned to keep my art supplies in the garage. That works, for now. it's hard to get stuff out when I get the urge, though.

Heh... I can just see you tiptoeing through the house, stifling triumphant maniacal laughter, big wads of pens clutched close to your heart! XD I guess the next step is a trip to the store so Fox can pick his one or two perfect, shining pens that will be his and his alone. That strategy always worked on me...

I feel for you both. Glad the pens are back in your hands and drawing. One more good one for the book.
