ATB: Cabinets
Mar. 21st, 2007 10:53 amI busted me knees putting up the suspension rail, built an 83" tall cabinet by myself (which WAS kind of fun), got the King out to help lift--
--and found the rail was two inches too low.
I will be so proud of me when I am done. Studio is still full of cabinet doors. Must. Fight. On.
No cats disappeared yesterday. I scratched the new floor, which now means it's broken in, like pouring a big drink on the carpet and putting out a cig on the upholstery of a new car.
ETA: THE DUMPSTER IS GONE! THE DUMPSTER IS GONE!
I did get a cord attached to the dishwasher (why the plumber didn't do this is a sweet mystery), and put it through its first run, and it performed admirably. It was so quiet, and sounded so unlike a dishwasher, King asked what the noise was. Neither of us is used to appliances that don't sound like a gross of skillets going through a wood chipper.
A note here for myself: turning on the electricity again, and plugging things in was nerve-wracking. I wasn't the only one watching for something to burst into flame. It's like finding a scar a long time after a bad cut has healed. I wonder if it will go away or persist. I know I don't have flashbacks like I used to.
Hope everyone has a great day. I will get around to posting those pics!
