Already. One week. Last night was the first time I've slept more than four hours in a day. I just let myself sleep, and felt human again.
Contractor Number Two will be making an estimate BEFORE meeting us and asking us to sign papers, and offering a cost+20% dumpster. So far, he is okay.
We have a rental home in roughly the same neighborhood. It was built the same year as our former palace, and has not been updated since. Harvest Goooooold Baaaaathroooooom. The rental agent has now become our first official Chase The House Fire People Person. She offered King furniture from her mother and sister. "And they'll sell it cheap!"
Wow.
We got today's raft of ground mail. Girl and I took turns reading it. It was awesome and cheering!
Tomorrow we move into the rental, and have no cable yet, so access might be sporadic until next week. I will try to hit a Starbucks each day to post updates.
