More PooperDome Poop.
More stories of rapes, this time the youngest victim is 2, which is down from 7, which is down from 10. And no one can say if there were arrests. The thing I hate about this article more than anything else is its headline: "Superdome laid waste by those it sheltered."
Why not "NOLA failed its poorest?" Or "If we'd gotten people food and water, maybe this wouldn't have happened" or even "What did we expect it to look like after five days without sanitation?"
And remember, kids, the PooperDome was a graveyard even before it was an abbatoir: "In a case of brutal foreshadowing that would shame a B horror flick, the dome was constructed on an old cemetery for the poor. The burial grounds were dug up and discarded with a promise that the Superdome would the centerpiece of a New Orleans "Central Business District" that would benefit all."

Q: Supporting with Donations
Sep. 12th, 2005 11:14 pmThis is not a solicitation for them, thanks, but a question about them, brought on by the HUGE traffic to "The Attractive Blonde Co-Ed Mask" Near-Life ExD. If each brand-new visitor had donated just a buck, I'd have...a lot of money. Like the college student who entreated Bob Greene's readers to each send just a penny, I not asking for a lot from a few people (but I'm not going to turn it away--I'll dance the butt dance!), I'm asking a tiny bit from a lot of people.
The question is this: what moves you to donate a buck, when and if you do? How do you liked to be asked?
I'm NOT asking for what turns you off, I DON'T WANT TO KNOW why you don't or can't donate.
I'm asking, for those of you who've donated to various webcomics, blogs, etc., what makes you give money with a grin?
A free wallpaper?
A list of donors?
Knowing a buck will do?
Talk to me, babies!
