Girl Child thought that the thing about bones and joints getting achy during a weather change was not true. She was amused to find out that my knees and shins say different.

I'm going to hold her discovery to my heart, because MY KNEES HURT SO BAD I CAN'T THINK. FUCKING RAIN, ALREADY.

Been this way since high school marching band. Wonder how many girls hopelessly fucked their knees and legs up marching in heels?

In other news, working like mad on lurker-bestowed rush jobs. Another lurker made a swell donation to NLEx. I thank them with all my heart. I gotta get back to NLEx.

Burge's Five Things

Because maybe we all need cheering up while it's hot in the Northern Hemisphere: burge's Five Little Things meme.

1. Fixing something myself, knowing most people would just buy another. Tonight, it was my inkjet printer flooded with black ink from a faulty cartridge. Some alcohol, seriously inky fingers, and a bit of fiddling and I went from a few pitiful faint black lines to printing again.
2. Making someone laugh really hard with words like "funsucker", and following it with, "Don't say it wrong."
3. An afternoon to run errands at my leisure.
4. A cute guy smiling at me.
5. A new sewing pattern.
